General Information

John Wesley is the founder of Methodism. Wesley was born at Epworth, Lincolnshire, England on June 17, 1703, the 15th child of Samuel and Susanna Wesley.  John, following in his father's footsteps, was admitted to the priesthood of the Church of England in 1728. The year 2003 marked the 300th anniversary of the birth of John Wesley. His brother Charles wrote over 9000 hymns and poems, many that are in our church hymnal.
